We've been selling video doorbells for years. They're very useful for home security, letting you "answer the door" even if you're not home.
But a recent innovation has made them even safer. There are now touchless video doorbells. These work by having your visitors stand on a doormat specifically placed at the right distance to "ring" the doorbell without having to touch anything.
This makes things safer for everybody, including your family, friends, and delivery workers. There's less chance of germs, bacteria, and viruses being spread by people touching your doorbell.
The touchless video doorbell will activate the chime inside the house, send an alert to your smartphone, and start recording a video clip. It will only do this when it senses a person, because it uses AI-based person detection, instead of motion detection. This will avoid false alarms.
Additional features of the touchless video doorbell include:
- Full HD Video - great quality lets you see all the details
- Live Video and Saved Clip Viewing - see what's happening and what's happened at your front door whenever you want
- 2 Way Audio - talk to your visitors as well as see them
- Infrared Night Vision - see who's at your door even at night
- Low Temperature Operation - has an onboard heater so it works even on cold nights
- 150 Degree Vertical Field of View - see short or tall people and get a good look at any packages left for you
- Optimized Portrait Viewing - easily interact with the doorbell using your mobile device without rotating it
Please note that you need a fast, permanent Internet connection with at least 1.5 Mbps of consistent upload/download speed to use the video doorbell. If you don't think your signal is strong enough, try moving your router closer to the video doorbell or purchasing a Wi-Fi extender.
You can test your connection by installing a speedtest app (Android or iOS) and running the test from your front door. Make sure the door is closed when you do the test.
If you have any questions, please contact us. United Alarm can professionally install the touchless video doorbell by itself or as part of a home alarm system.
